Positive language
Clear and concrete

Slide 12 - Tekstslide

How to give feedback?
The 4G feedback method

This is giving feedback on four parts:
  1. Behavior (Describe the other person's behavior. For example, "I noticed you were late yesterday and this morning")
  2. Feeling (Describe how you feel about it. For example, “This makes me feel like you are rushing through your work.”)
  3. Consequence (“I notice that more classmates are starting to find that annoying.”)
  4. Desired (“I would appreciate it if you would be on time from now on.”)

CASE 1
Feedback on a piece:
  • "The paper is poorly written. The words are mixed up and the sentences are weird. The information I can read is good content. It's just a pity that you don't use many pictures."

Slide 14 - Tekstslide

CASE 2
Feedback on a piece:
  • "The way you wrote the introduction to the chapter is great. I would use this method for every chapter. Too bad you didn't continue this good line in the rest of the chapter. For example, I do not always understand what you write and the information you provide is written down very briefly. You have already used good pictures and figures and referred to them well in the text."

CASE 3
What feedback do you give?
  • "We've all heard of it: climate change, but what exactly is it? There are different climate types such as: steppe climate, tropical climate, continental climate and much more. The climate is determined over a certain area by measuring the average weather condition over 30 years. Climate change is the enhanced greenhouse effect and its consequences. The natural greenhouse effect is a process involving carbon dioxide and the heat from the sun. When animals expel carbon dioxide, carbon dioxide rises and retains heat, so it becomes warm on earth. Humans amplify the greenhouse effect because we emit more carbon dioxide than what is natural. The earth is warming up because we emit too much carbon."

TODAY:
Continue working in your shared Google Docs file.

  1. First make it clear in a division of tasks who has done what, then provide each other with feedback on the entire script with the assessment form next to it.
  2. Share your file with another group and provide the other group with feedback.
  3. Provide feedback as explained through the presentation.

When you have received your feedback, process it and submit the Google Docs document to Classroom.
