Talk Show Hosts in America Removed from TV

This week, a famous American talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, was removed from TV. He made a comment about a political activist, Charlie Kirk, who was shot. Kimmel said that the people who support Donald Trump were using the death for politics. (Republicans - Democrats)

The government group called the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) said Kimmel’s words were “bad.” They told the TV channel ABC that they might lose their license. So ABC stopped Kimmel’s show.

Earlier this year, another host, Stephen Colbert, also lost his show. He often made jokes about Trump. Some people think this was also because of politics.

Donald Trump was happy about this. He said Kimmel was “not talented” and wanted other hosts like Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers to be removed too.

Many people are worried. They say this is bad for free speech in America. They think people should be allowed to speak freely, even if they don’t agree with the government.
