Yoga stems from the ancient meditational practices of Indian religions. Today, people all over the world practise yoga and meditation to (a) relieve stress and build strength, stability, mental clarity and discipline. Yoga and meditation both require you to control your breathing and to (b) be conscious of your breathing pattern. A (c) rigorous yoga workout also involves doing unique poses while concentrating on your breathing. The poses can be uncomfortable, physically as well as mentally, but they are believed to be (d) beneficial to a person’s physical and mental (e) well-being. The goal of the exercises is to (f) overcome (g) distractions and to (h) endure physical and mental challenges.
