What are MY lesson goals for today?
1. At the end of the lesson, I will be able to recognize the differences between my pupils and support them accordingly.
2. At the end of the lesson, I will be able to find out if my lesson was of any help to my pupils by asking them questions and by analyzing the written assignment.
3. At the end of the lesson, I will be able to prepare and implement a divergent differentiated lesson.

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

The future tense
There are several ways to indicate that you are going to do something using the future tense.

Slide 11 - Tekstslide

The future tense
Will:

- ‘Zullen’
- Spontane (snelle) acties (Bijv. “Hold on, I will do it!”)
- Als het niet zeker is (Bijv. “I think Ajax will win.”)
- Weersvoorspellingen (Bijv. “Tomorrow it will rain in the south.”)

Slide 12 - Tekstslide

The future tense
Am/are/is going to

- ‘Gaan doen’ / van plan zijn
- Je ziet het bewijs (Bijv. “Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain!”)

Slide 13 - Tekstslide

So, what does the assignment look like?

15 minutes
Individually
You are allowed to discuss, but you should WRITE YOUR LETTER YOURSELF

Slide 14 - Tekstslide

Group 1
You should be ready to get started now! When you're done, you can read your letter out loud to a classmate within your group.

Slide 15 - Tekstslide

Group 2
If you can't work it out, you can ask me for an extra sheet and/or dictionary that will help you with your assignment. It’s all up to you if you need the extra help or not.

Slide 16 - Tekstslide

Group 3
I will sit down with your group to give you further instructions. You will also get an extra sheet and a dictionary to help you with your assignment.

Slide 17 - Tekstslide

Are there any other questions?
If not, then I wish everyone good luck!

Slide 18 - Tekstslide

When we're done...
... Let me ask each group some questions!

Slide 19 - Tekstslide

Group 1
Did the reading out loud to a classmate help you recognize your own mistakes?

Slide 20 - Tekstslide

Group 2
What are the rules of the future tense?

Slide 21 - Tekstslide

Group 3
In what way should punctuation be applied to a writing assignment?

Slide 22 - Tekstslide

To round the lesson off...
Exit tickets (anonymous)!
How do you think it went?
What was something that went well?
What was something that didn't go well?

Slide 23 - Tekstslide

Your homework for next lesson is...

You don't have homework, since the Christmas break is near!

Slide 24 - Tekstslide

See you after the break!
