Slide 5 - Tekstslide

Chapter 1 Solids
This lesson you will learn:
- how to work in your notebook
- the names of different 2D and 3D shapes
- what faces, edges and vertices are
- what a wire model is

Slide 11 - Tekstslide

Faces, edges and vertices
6 Faces: base (1 pentagon) and
                                                                             sides (5 triangles)
10 Edges: all lines (visible) and
                                                                                dotted lines (invisible)
6 Vertices: points where the edges
                                                                                  meet

Slide 13 - Tekstslide

Wire model
In a normal drawing of a solid, all edges
you cannot see are drawn with dotted lines

With a wire model you can see all edges,
therefore no dotted lines are used in a
drawing
