The Present Continuous

The Present Continuous tense is used to describe things that are going on or happening at the moment/now.

At the end of this LessonUp:

Example: They are working (now).

How do you form this verb tense?

1.  Use the verb to be: am, is / are 

2. infinitive (whole form of the verb) + ing

How do you form the Present Continuous

in affirmative/positive sentences?

I + am + infinitive + ing

I am just doing my job.

you/we/they + are + infinitive + ing

We are eating soup at the moment. 

he/she/it + is + infinitive + ing

He is singing right now.
