How to provide feedback

Slide 1 - Tekstslide

Today's goals
  1. What is good feedback?
  2. What is constructive feedback?
  3. How do you provide constructive feedback?

Slide 2 - Tekstslide

What is valuable feedback to you?
How is it presented?
Who provides it?
What  do you do with it?

Slide 3 - Tekstslide

What is good feedback?
  • Keep a goal in mind (what is the text/product for?)
  • Keep it tangible (easy to understand)
  • Make sure you can actually change it
  • Give it sooner, rather than later
  • Be consistent
    But most importantly: give reasons!
    I think that ... , because ... .

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

What is constructive feedback?
Constructive feedback makes criticism less personal and aimed at work.
  • forget about who you're giving feedback, just focus on work
  • keep it specific

Slide 5 - Tekstslide

Decide which is good and which is bad feedback.

Slide 6 - Tekstslide

I wouldn't use your software, so I think it's bad.
The customer wouldn't use your app, because they don't have mobile devices.

Slide 7 - Tekstslide

I like the use of different adjectives in this part of the story, but it might be a few too many.
You shouldn't use so many adjectives in your story.

Slide 8 - Tekstslide

If you write an introduction your story might be easier to read.
Your story doesn't have good flow.

Slide 9 - Tekstslide
