What are the 4 essentials that plants need in order to survive??

Plant Needs

The 3 main essentials that plants need in order to survive are Food, Water, Air, and Sunlight.

What did you learn from today's lesson?

Tap Roots

They have one large root that goes deep into the soil. This allows the plant to search for water in deeper places.  These roots are harder to kill. 

Examples: Trees, Dandilions

Purpose

• To provide stability for the plant. (So they won't fall over.)
• To transport food and water to the plant from the roots.

Fiberous Roots

These roots stay shallow in the soil.
