What is a Narrator?

A narrator tells the story to the audience. They help us understand what is happening, where it is set, and what the characters are doing.

Chapters 1-3 introduce Sophie, the BFG, and the magical world they live in. We’ll use these chapters for our script.

Key Components of a Narrator's Script

Say what the characters are doing and feeling.

Describe where and when the story happens.

Words and Phrases to Use

Use phrases like: 'Suddenly', 'In the dark night', or 'Sophie tiptoed quietly'. These help make your script interesting!
