Clean Hands, Healthy You: A Step-by-Step Handwashing Lesson

Slide 1: Why Handwashing Matters

Proper handwashing is crucial for preventing the spread of germs, bacteria, and viruses.

Slide 2: When to Wash Your Hands

Before eating, after using the restroom, after touching pets, and after coughing or sneezing.

Slide 3: Step 1 - Wet Your Hands

Turn on the faucet and wet your hands with clean, running water.

Slide 4: Step 2 - Apply Soap

Apply enough soap to cover all hand surfaces.

Slide 5: Step 3 - Lather and Scrub

Rub your hands together with the soap, ensuring to lather and scrub all areas including the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.

Slide 6: Step 4 - Rinse Thoroughly

Hold your hands under the running water and rinse off all the soap.

Slide 7: Step 5 - Dry Your Hands

Use a clean towel or air dryer to dry your hands thoroughly.
