When do I use it?
- Als iets nu aan de gang is of nu gebeurt. 
- Je kunt de present continuous ook gebruiken om irritatie uit te drukken.

example: I am going to the supermarket

would like to = more polite
would prefer to = to say what we want to do in a situation

Let op! We always use the infinitive after want to/would like to and would prefer to...
example: We would like to see the new dog

Present Simple:
1. als iets een gewoonte is
2. als iets een feit is
3. als iets regelmatig (niet) gebeurt.
> signaal woorden present simple: 
always, never, often, sometimes, usually, on Mondays, during the week, in the weekend

Present continuous
1.als iets nu gebeurt (vaak met signaalwoorden: at the moment, listen, now, etc.)
2. als iets vaak gebeurt waar je je aan ergert (vaak met signaalwoord always)
3. als iets in de nabije toekomst plaatsvindt.
