Speaking about pictures

- What emotion(s) do you see?

- Why would they/he/she be feeling that way?

- When was the last time you felt that way?

- Why did you feel that way?

- What else do you see in this picture?

- Make up a soap story about what you see.

ACTIVITY 3: use picture 1 and picture 2

Do the picture 1 together in class. Students could also discuss it in pairs first then classically. Draw attention to finding synonyms (angry-mad-furious-outraged-fuming).

Ask them to try and imagine what the context could be; use their imagination  turn it into a (soap) story!

Then ask when was the last time someone felt like this and why?

5-7 minutes

For picture 2 they can now do it on their own. Make sure you write down the four questions somewhere on the board. Walk around to ensure they speak English, praise their effort!
