Class Behavior

"I need everyone to listen carefully. The behavior I’ve been seeing — whether it’s talking over others, not following directions, or being disruptive — is no longer acceptable. Starting now, I will be enforcing consequences consistently. My job is to help you learn, and that can’t happen in this environment. This is your chance to reset. Let’s move forward with respect and focus."

Listen when instructions are given.

Ask questions respectfully if you need help.

3. Raise Your Hand to Speak

One voice at a time.

Wait your turn and listen to others.

Start work when asked — no excuses. 

5. Use Appropriate Language

No swearing, rude jokes, or disrespectful tone.

6. Stay on Task

Focus during lessons and activities.

Use time wisely.

1. First warning: Move places
2. Second warning: Work outside - logged in Som
3. Third warning - Yellow form from reception - Mentor will call your parents and Mr Entius will be informed

Comparative adjectives 

Comparative adjectives are used to compare two things. They show how one thing is more or less than another.

🔹 Example:

"This book is heavier than that one."

"She is taller than her brother."

Maths is more difficult than English

Mrs Corrigan  is shorter  than Meneer de Haas!

What Is a Syllable?

A syllable is a single, unbroken sound or beat in a word.

✅ Try clapping it out:

Tall (1 clap = 1 syllable)

Happy (HAP-py = 2 syllables)

Interesting (IN-ter-est-ing = 4 syllables)

Syllable length (or syllable count) helps determine how we form comparative adjectives.

Words of 1 syllable: small - smaller / quiet - quieter

Words of 2 syllables:  noisy - noisier / clever - cleverer

Words of 3 syllables or more: Beautiful - more beautiful / difficult / more difficult / expensive / more expensive
