Illinois General Assembly: Vlogging for kids under 16

•  Appear at least 30% of the video
•  The video generates at least $ 0,10 per view
•  When the turn 18, the can demand videos that they appear in to be permanently deleted. Only if parents (or vlogger) earns money from the videos.
•  Kids have to be paid for the amount of time they appear in a video and the money is kept safe in a bankaccount until the turn 18.

“Our entire schedule revolved around YouTube, and I think that’s where I started to have issues,” Shari Franke said, adding that their family home turned into something that “felt more like a set than a house.”

One of the clips in the series shows Ruby Franke telling one of her children to “just be yourself.” When the child said, “That is myself,” the mother responded, “Well, then change it.”

“I hate smiling at lenses.”
