In the present you place do or does 
at the front of the sentence followed by the verb:
I like English class -> Do you like English class?

In the past its almost the same 
using did followed by the verb:
She walked home -> did she walk home?

Other types of questions
  • When there is a form of "to be" in the sentence (am,are,is,was,were), 
you use that form at the front of the sentence: 
She is a great tennis player -> Is she a great tennis player?

  • when a sentence has 2 verbs, place the first verb in front:
 I have met him before -> have I met him before?
