Microagressions
Microaggressions are defined as patterned behaviours by individuals in a majority group, typically white people, that undermine, belittle, stereotype, or insult those in ethnic minority groups.

They appear as small / irrelevant comments. However they give hurtful and racist messages.  

Another example of a racial microaggression is, ‘your hair is so cool, can I touch it?’.
