Percentages are just fractions written out of 100.

Eg  30% = 

Per means out of and cent means 100 

Where do you see percentages day to day?

Remember that........

There are various ways to find a percentage of an amount, however with a calculator, this is an easy method:

Divide the amount by 100 to find 1%

Then multiply your answer by the percentage you want
