Personal pronouns
A personal pronoun is used for a specific person or object
There are 2 forms
  • Subject form 
  • Object form

Personal pronouns
The subject form is used when the personal pronoun is subject.
The object form is used when the personal pronoun is the direct object (lijdend voorwerp), indirect object (meewerkend voorwerp) or when it follows a preposistion (voorzetsel). 
Examples:   
  1. He/we/they left. (subject)
  2. I saw him/her/them. (direct object) 
  3. I gave him/her/them an apple. (indirect object) 
  4. That was meant for me/you/us. (preposistion)

Possessive pronoun
Possessive pronouns are used to show that something belongs to someone. 
The possessive pronouns my, your, his, her, our, your, their  are used before a noun. 
Example: This is her car. 
The possessive pronouns mine, yours, his, hers, ours, yours, theirs  are used without a following noun. 
Example: This car is hers.

Reflexive pronouns
A reflexive pronoun is used to refer back to the same person as the subject.

Example: 
I have seen this myself.
She introduced herself.
Reflexive pronouns are
Singular 

Plural
Oneself, myself, himself, herself. Ourselves, yourselves, themselves
