2. Minor Characters:

are used once or twice
Have the tendency of not returning.

Narration = perspective:
1st - "I" tells the story

2nd - "you" tell the story (uncommon)

3rd - "he, she, it, they" the story is told by an outsider who knows it.

There are two types:
Limited: De verteller leert meer nadat het verhaal ontwikkeld

Omniscient: de verteller weet alles al, ook de details. Deze informatie wordt door het verhaal heen "vrijgegeven"

With setting we mean:
Date, time, season and/or place

A book usually has many settings which can play with the mood.

"It was the second of April, on a dark stormy night...."

The plot describes what happens in a story, as if it was history.
