You have 5  minutes to prepare a short talk about how you spent your holiday. Use a variety of verb tenses.

Answer the following questions at least: 
- What was the best thing that happened during the holiday
- What was the funniest thing that happened during the holiday
- What did you do most 
- What did you plan on doing, but then you didn't? 
- How did you spend Christmas? 
- How did you spend New Year's Eve? 
- Did you make any new years' resolutions?

We gebruiken reported speech om op een later tijdstip te herhalen wat wij zelf hebben gezegd, of wat iemand anders heeft gezegd. 

Direct speech:
"We are trying to pay attention!"

Indirect speech: 
They said (that) they were trying to pay attention.

What is it?
Reporting that someone else said something...

Sandy: "I have a lot of homework."
Sandy said (that) she had a lot of homework. 
Tom: "We went out last night."
Tom said (that) they had gone out the previous night.
