Learning objective

Learning Objective

At the end of the lesson, you will be able to read clocks, set alarms, and understand calendars.

What do you already know about telling time and understanding dates?

Understanding Clocks

Clocks show time using numbers and hands. The short hand tells hours; the long hand tells minutes.

Digital Time

Digital clocks use numbers to show hours and minutes. Example: 3:45 PM means 3 hours and 45 minutes past noon.

Introduction to Calendars

Calendars show months, weeks, and days. They help plan events and track time.

Using Alarms

An alarm clock helps you wake up at a set time. You can set alarms for reminders, too.

Days of the Week

There are 7 days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Months of the Year

There are 12 months in a year, starting with January and ending with December.

Interactive Activity

Match times on clocks with daily activities. Fill in a blank calendar with important dates.

Write down 3 things you learned in this lesson.

Write down 2 things you want to know more about.
