Passive

The subject is passive: doesn't do anything

to be --> tense of main verb, put before main verb

main verb --> past participle (volt. deelw.)

I have read this magazine.

This magazine has been read.

Someone has stolen my laptop.

My brother baked a cake.

I will buy her a gift.

Gerund

verb + ing

used as a noun

I love .... in the winter (ice skate)

.... has always been my hobby. (bake)

I can't help ... when I see my dog. (laugh)

plural/singular

Goose - geese

shorts - pairs of shorts

a series - multiple series

one sheep - three sheep
