What is Addition?

Addition means putting groups of things together to find out how many there are in total.

The Plus Sign (+)

We use the plus sign (+) to show that we are adding numbers.

Example: Adding Apples

Step 1

You get 3 more apples. 2 + 3 = 5 apples!

Step 2

You have 2 apples.
