What is First Aid?
First aid is the immediate help given to someone who is injured or suddenly becomes ill before professional medical help arrives. The goal is to preserve life, prevent the condition from getting worse, and promote recovery. It can include simple actions like cleaning and covering a wound, performing CPR, or helping someone who is choking.

6 steps of CPR
1. Check consciousness: Shake the victim's shoulders and ask, 'Are you okay?'.
2. Call 112: Do this immediately or have someone else call.
3. Check breathing: See if the victim is breathing normally.
4. Start chest compressions: If there is no normal breathing,
start with 30 chest compressions.
5. Give rescue breaths: Give 2 rescue breaths.
6. Attach an AED: Use an available AED as soon as possible.

Arterial bleeding
An arterial bleeding happens when an artery is damaged. The blood is bright red and spurts with the heartbeat, making it very dangerous. Immediate direct pressure is needed to stop blood loss and save the person’s life.
