6.2 Feeding relationships and cycles
What is a food web?
What is a food chain?
Feeding relations
Water cycle
Carbon cycle
When an organism is eaten, the high-energy substances end up in the next link up in the food chain. In an ecosystem, every substance goes through a nutrient cycle.

Assign a food web
Sloths

The sloth from Brazil hangs upside down in the trees of the rainforest for most of its life. It feeds on leaves and young buds. Once a week he descends to relieve himself in a hole. Among other things, dung beetles = mestkevers are attracted to this. Microscopic algae live in the sloth's coat, which gives it its green camouflage color. Between the hairs there are also small insects that live on the algae and hair lice that use the hair as food.
Bacteria and yeast live on the food waste in his intestines.

Use the bold organisms to construct a food web, take a picture and put it on the next slide
