The four regions
- America is typically divided into four cultural and geographic regions.
- A lot of people think differently on which states belong to which 
  region and there is a lot of debate on that.  
- Officially though, the US Census bureau (the agency that counts the 
   inhabitants in the US) has divided the all states into the four regions and
   hasn't changed that since the 1950s.
- Let's look at the general lay-out of these four regions!

- The capital of Texas is Austin.
- Texas is also known as the Lone Star State. It earned the
   nickname when Texas became an independent republic after
   it declared its independence from Mexico. Texas became an
   independent republic from 1836 - 1846 (when it was annexed
   by the United States. 
- More wool comes from Texas than any other state in the US.
- Texas comes from the Hasinai Indian word tejas meaning friends or allies.
