The future

• bij beloftes, om iets aan te bieden, aankondigingen, en besluiten waarvoor je GEEN bewijs hebt:                                      will + het hele werkwoord      (It will happen.) 

                                                       won't + het hele werkwoord  (She won't win.)

• bij als iemand iets in de toekomst van plan is of als je een voorspelling doet waarvoor je WEL bewijs hebt:                       to be going to + het hele werkwoord   (It is going to rain tonight.

                                                       to not be going to + het hele werkwoord (It's not going to work.) 

• voor afspraken in de nabije toekomst waarvan de tijd of plaats al vaststaat: 

                                                       present continuous. (I am going to school this Monday.)

• tijden volgens een vast schema: 

                                                       present simple. (The train departs at 9 o'clock sharp.) 

The train ........... (leave) at 12:10 am.
