2 mogelijkheden: 

1. Vóór een ander HOOFD werkwoord

• She always walks to school.

2. Ná een vorm van to be (am - are - is - was - were)

• She is never home.
  

Let op!: Bij ontkenningen met to be zet je not tussen de werkwoord en het bijwoord.

Exception....

In een zin met twee werkwoorden:

Na het eerste werkwoord:

I hardly ever eat sandwiches, I generally just eat an apple and a packet of crisps. What do you normally eat for lunch? Do you sometimes spend your money on food?
