Language skills are incredibly important!

In the past months, you've have been practicing your reading and listening skills.
Today will be different as you'll be practicing your writing skills!

Activity 1

In the following slide you'll see a film review.
Make sure to read it well, since there will be questions about it!

Now you've finished answering the questions, it's time for you to write your own film review!

Follow these steps clearly:
1. Think of a film you have watched.

2. Make notes for each of the questions in the first activity.

3. Write your review using your notes and the model text. Use some of the words and
phrases in bold. Write between 100 and 150 words.

In the following slides you'll have 10 questions to answer.

The answers are to be found in the film review you've just read.

What is the title of the film?

What genre is it?

What is it about?

Where is the film set?

When is the film set?

Who stars in the film?

Who is your favourite character in the
film? (Why?)

What kind of person would like this
film?

Activity 2

Since you've finished answering the questions, it's time for you to write your own film review!

Step 1: Think of a film you have watched.
Tip: choose a film that you really like, so you can easily write about it!

Step 2: Make notes for each of the questions (of your own film)

- Write your review using your notes (step 2) and the film review example from the previous slides.
- Use the bold words and
phrases of the film review example in your own work.

- Write between 100 and 150 words.
- Email your review to your teacher using Magister mail
