Why is snow more common in Finland than in the Netherlands?
Why is snow in Poland more common than in the Netherlands?
Which termperature factor plays a role here?
altitude
Latitude

high latitude

Slide 7 - Sleepvraag

It is colder at higher latitudes because:

  • -Sunrays hit earth at a slanting angle (vallen schuin in)
  • Sunrays have to heat up a larger area
  • Sunrays travel a longer distance to earth which gives them a higher change of being reflected back to space
please note!
