WALT: Today we will continue to review the graphemes s, a, t, p and also i. We will explore blending and segmenting some words with our whiteboard and magnetic letters playing a game called FULL CIRCLE.

WILF: By the end of this literacy mat session I want you to be able to spell, segment and blend words that contain s a t p and i.

TIB: Segmenting and blending helps us understand how words sound, so we can become better readers and spellers.
