Burgess model
A man called Ed Burgess noticed a pattern in Chicago and drew a model of it. It is a simplified diagram of the way land is used in a city. Real cities are more complicated, but models help you to understand what is going on, why things are where they are, and where things might change.

Use the places on the sheet and google maps to annotate. Can you recreate the concentric circles as Burgess suggested?
