What?
  • We’ve done a lot of different types of English activities.
  • Now we’ll focus on finishing the book!
  • Please listen when I give instructions. Be silent when I speak. Work quietly when you have exercises to complete.
  • Class time=Class time. Use your time to complete work.
  • Bring a book. If you finish early, read it.
  • If you are disruptive, I’ll request that you leave, with only your pen and book and work outside/ leerplein. You fetch your bag at the end of the class after the class is dismissed. If you get sent out again, then you’ll get a pink card. 
  • You can get a pink card immediately for serious offences such as hurting others, being disrespectful, causing a mess/damage, running about, etc or if I judge it as such.
  • Pink card: No participation inside following class and/or appointment after school to catch up, etc.

  • But let’s try to make the last few weeks pleasant and worthwhile!


How?
  • Please check Magister regularly. You’ll be getting a number of tests/quizzes, the next weeks.

  • Start vocab in class or fully for homework and finish for next lesson +learn words.
  • Vocab test for next lesson (15-20 mins) +mark vocab/read stones.
  • Check purple boxes yourselves.
  • Both grammar rules in one lesson (10-15 mins). Grammar activities (15 mins), marking (10 mins).
  • Test review.
  • Chapter test.

Chapter 3 Test Review Poster
Make a poster with your partner. 
  • Each must have your own
  • It must show the grammar rules we learned in Chapter 3.
  • Create your own short exercises for each. 
  • Do each other's exercises and check them.
  • Make a vocabulary section on the other side.
  • Use your book and what you remember from our lessons to help you.
  • Use colour and make it useful to learn from.

What are the key points ?
 Adjectives
  • Describes a thing (noun).
  • Place before noun or after some verbs.
  • Adds interest.

Adverbs
  • Describe doing words (verb)
  • Normally after a verb
  • Adverbs of time-how often
  • Adjective to adverb> add -ly
  • Pay attention to spelling changes





What are the key points?
Present Perfect
  • Experiences.
  • Action started in the past and still happens.
  • have/has+past participle verb
  • Watch out for irregular past participles!

Past simple
  • Actions started in the past and were completed.
  • Past simple form of the verb. 
  • who/what+ past simple
  • Watch out for irregular past simple verbs
