It is to appraise and improve the ecological quality of Kuwait Bay.

c. What are the characteristics of Kuwait Bay?

Kuwait Bay is an important marine resource. It provides employment, recreation, food and wildlife habitats.

d. Give your opinion on projects like the Kuwait Bay project. Can they help us save the planet? If yes, how? If no, why not?

Projects like the Kuwait Bay are very important. They can help save the planet in many ways. They can reduce pollution, restore marine ecosystems and protect biodiversity.

Kuwait Bay

The British organisation CEFAS (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science) is working in partnership with the local Environment Public Authority (EPA) to appraise and improve

the ecological quality of Kuwait Bay. EPA is an organisation that has set developmental goals at all levels: regional, national and international. Provoked by recent red tide events, the Kuwait government is funding this joint project, since Kuwait Bay is an important marine resource.

The project will develop a supervision strategy to enhance the water quality of Kuwait Bay and protect human health. It provides employment, recreation, food and wildlife habitats. Therefore, to make sure these resources are available in the long term, the bay must be managed in a sustainable way, which is the overall aim of the project. During her interview with Kuwait Times, Dr. Michelle Devlin said, “This project will help everyone enjoy Kuwait’s waters for years to come.”
