Present continuous

It is Monday morning. The sun is shining. Look! The students are playing outside.

Tom is kicking a football. Sarah and Sophie are eating their sandwiches. A teacher is walking across the playground. Some boys are laughing loudly. Two girls are sitting on a bench. They are talking about a movie. The birds are singing in the trees. Everyone is enjoying the break.

Present continuous

Hoe maak je deze tijd?
Je gebruikt altijd het hele werkwoord behalve bij he/she/it.

De SHIT regel = werkwoord +(e)s
I do - she does

Verschil continuous/simple

Je gebruikt de present continuous om te praten over iets wat er nu gebeurt. 
(Hulpwoorden: Look!, Listen!, at the moment, right now)

De present simple gebruik je bij feiten, gewoonten en roosters/schema's.
(Hulpwoorden: always, usually, never)

She ______ (have) a panick attack at the moment.

They always _______ (share) the same pen.

The supermarket _______ (close) at 9 tonight.
