Present perfect
Je gebruikt deze vorm om aan te geven dat iets in het verleden begonnen is en nu nog bezig is.
Deze vorm bestaat uit have/has+ voltooid deelwoord.
Je gebruikt deze vorm voor dingen die in het verleden zijn gebeurd en die nu zijn afgelopen.
Bij deze vorm krijgen regelmatige werkwoorden + –ed

Something happend in the past and it has ended.
- I went to Madrid this holiday.
Present perfect
Something happened in the past and it is still going on right now.
- I have been living in the Netherlands since I was born.
