Daily Routines
Learn English with Music
What do you do every day?
Use bright, child-friendly illustrations showing children waking up, brushing teeth, eating breakfast, going to school, doing homework, and going to bed. The opening question is on-slide because the teacher requested it, but keep this as a brief warm welcome rather than a long activity.
Our Learning Goal
By the end of a 40-minute English lesson, 8-year-old students will be able to identify and pronounce at least five daily routine expressions (wake up, brush my teeth, have breakfast, go to school, and go to bed) by listening to, singing, and performing movements to a song, achieving at least 80% accuracy in a teacher-led listening and speaking activity.
🎧 Listening 🗣️ Speaking 📖 Reading ✍️ Writing
Keep this slide very simple. Read the objective aloud once and point to the four skill icons so students know they will listen, speak, read, and write.
Which daily routine words do you already know?
Use this as a quick activation after the learning goal. Accept single words or short phrases such as wake up, breakfast, school, shower, homework, bed.
Daily Routines Around the Day
Wake up
brush my teeth
take a shower
have breakfast
go to school
What do you do in the morning?
This slide opens the topic with the most familiar morning actions. If your platform allows it, place picture cards beside the phrases for quick picture matching.
More Daily Routines
do homework
have dinner
go to bed
These actions happen later in the day.
Connect this slide to the previous one by showing that routines can be grouped by time of day: morning, afternoon, and evening.
Picture and Phrase Match
Match each picture to the correct phrase:
wake up
brush my teeth
take a shower
have breakfast
go to school
Set this up visually in the platform with five pictures and five labels. Keep the language on the slide short; the matching itself can be built in LessonUp.
Which activity usually happens in the morning?
go to bed
have breakfast
do homework
have dinner
Checks understanding of time-of-day routines from the introduction slides. The distractors are other routines taught nearby.
Complete the daily routine text
In the morning, I wake up and brush my teeth. Then I have breakfast and go to school. At night, I go to bed.
All phrases come from the introduction and matching slides. Read the full text aloud after checking answers.
Song: My Daily Routine
An original AI song with a fun rhythm.
Listen, sing, and do simple actions for each routine.
If audio generation is available, embed or link the AI-generated recording here. If not, use the lyrics on the next slides and add the audio later. Keep the tempo steady and pronunciation clear for A1/A2 learners.

Grab my backpack, out the door,
Let's go learn and explore!
This is my daily routine, hey!
I do it every single day!
Wake up, brush, eat, and go.
Move your body, touch your toes!
Daily routine, clap your hands!
Everybody, dance, dance, dance!
Morning, afternoon, and night,
Do your routine and do it right!
I go to school, I learn and play,
Read my books throughout the day! I I come home and eat my lunch, Yummy, yummy, munch, munch, munch!

E-learning
Keep the explanation concrete. Avoid theory-heavy language; link each term directly to something visible in this lesson.
Blended Learning
Face-to-face practice + digital practice
Teacher actions, gestures, singing, and group work happen in class.
Online slides and quizzes can be used in class or at home.
You can sketch a simple flow as you explain: song + teacher + class practice + online tasks. This shows how the three approaches connect without crowding the slide.
Why Songs Help Us Learn

enjoy English more
Link this back to the lesson objective: the song made the daily routine vocabulary easier to hear, say, and remember.

Only reading a book
Only singing at home
Teacher and online quiz
Only listening once
Checks understanding of the technology section: blended learning combines face-to-face teaching with digital practice.
