What do you need in the class:
  • Writing book, A4 blocks, for every lesson. Bring it even if you are writing a test.
  • It is wise to have a file in which you keep your tests. Alternatively you can make a photo of the front page with your mark. If there are enquiries you always have it with you.

  • CALCULATOR, a Casio!! You are not allowed to use your mobile phone or your tablet as calculator because you must learn how to use your own calculator in the class. 
  • Stationary such as a pen, pencil and ruler.
  • Sometimes you might need a protractor or a compass, so have it with you.

Work neatly
  • Start a new lesson with a heading and a date in your writing book, and end each lesson by ruling off.
  • Write neatly with a blue or a black pen, and always make diagrams and drawings with a pencil.
  • You will be awarded a mark on your report for your book, so keep it neat, and do your work in it.

How do we see colours?
- A blue object only reflect blue 
   light and absorbs all the other 
   colours
- A white object reflects all the 
   colours
- A black object absorbs all the 
   colours

In warm countries houses are usually painted in light colours, because that reflects more 
light, and therefore more 
energy. This way the house

In a nutshell:
  • The colours of the rainbow are 
       red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet.
  • Light sources such as the sun emmit a continuous spectrum, and led-lamps and fluorescent tubes only certain colours.
  • We see colours because certain colours are reflected and others are absorbed.
