Examples
“Imagine a big explosion as you climb through 3,000 ft. Imagine a plane full of smoke. Imagine an engine going clack, clack, clack. It sounds scary. Well I had a unique seat that day. I was sitting in 1D.”

This is a good example for opening a speech because it uses the power of imagination.

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Examples
"Studies show that it is important that we brush our teeth at least twice a day, because it keeps our teeth clean and strong."

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

Examples
"Studies show that it is important that we brush our teeth at least twice a day, because it keeps our teeth clean and strong."

This is a bad way to open your speech because it is not appealing towards the audience. Don't start with facts, bring them up later as arguments.

Slide 16 - Tekstslide

Examples
“Listen to politicians now, with their comprehensive 12-point plans. They’re not inspiring anybody. Because there are leaders and there are those who lead. Leaders hold a position of power or authority, but those who lead inspire us. Whether they’re individuals or organizations, we follow those who lead, not because we have to, but because we want to. We follow those who lead, not for them, but for ourselves. And it’s those who start with “why” that have the ability to inspire those around them or find others who inspire them.”

This is a good example of a closing line because here theyre telling a story.

Slide 18 - Tekstslide

Examples
"And that is why it is important that everyone should be able to have access to the internet. Thank you."

Slide 19 - Tekstslide

Examples
"And that is why it is important that everyone should be able to have access to the internet. Thank you."

This is a bad way to end your speech, because there is no real conclusion here. Don't say just thank you to end your speech.
