At the end of the lesson, you will be able to understand and use the verb: to have.

At the end of the lesson, you will be able to understand and use a / an depending on the noun in the sentence.

What is the Present Simple?

The present simple is used to talk about regular actions or:

• Facts                           Water boils at 100 degrees celsius.
• Routines                    I always have tennis practise on mondays.
• Fixed schedules    The bus departs every 30 minutes.

Use of the verb: to have

There are a couple of verb that are used a lot.

To have and to be are good examples.

Later on these are also used as auxiliary verbs (hulp werkwoord)
