The meanings of Geography

Geography Overview

• Derived from Greek words 'ge’, ‘geo’ (earth), and 'graphein’ or ‘graphos’ (description/write about).

• Together, "Geography" (γεωγραφία, geōgraphía) translates to "earth description" or "writing about the Earth "
