Routine sentences from your life: ( in English)

- What do you do when you get up? And what do you do after?

- How do you prepare before you start your sport/hobby?

- What do you do right before you go to sleep?

Now add:

Look at my sentence:

1. I get up in the morning. I look at my phone.

2. I take a shower and then I make coffee. 

3. As soon as I get up, I check my phone

4. After I take a shower, I make coffee

After/before/when/as soon as in your sentences.

Let's make them PAST tense

Can you change your sentences so all verbs are in the past?

1. I get up in the morning.

1. I get up in the morning. I look at my phone.

I got up in the morning after I had looked on my phone

2. I take a shower and then I make coffee. 

As soon as I had taken a shower, I made coffee.

Wanneer je praat over twee dingen die beiden in het verleden zijn gebeurd. 

Hetgeen als eerste gebeurd: had + voltooid deelwoord

Hetgeen daarna gebeurd: 2e rijtje/ed/didn't + hele ww

Before I took a shower, I had already drunk my coffee

After I had spoken to my mum, I went to bed.

Fact: (present simple)

1. Your fingertips will shrivel if you hold them under water too long. 

2. You lose too much hair if you comb it too much. 

Condition will probably be completed (will):

1. If you smile every day, you will feel more positive.

2. She will drive to work next year if she passes her driving exams.

Condition will probably not be completed (would + past simple):

1. My parents. would go insane if something happened to me.

2. The teacher would give us a test if we didn't work hard enough.

Use the previous slide to create your own sentences using the 3 types of IF sentences as mentioned. You have to create 6 sentences in total. 2 of each if-condition.
