• Today we are practising the way the Dutch say the following phrases; 
• Hoe heet je? Wanneer ben je geboren? Hoe oud ben je? 
• This is vital basic communication at the heart of this unit 'Wie ben ik?' and part of the summative Speaking. This is a formative task we do in class. You will receive feedback in MB.

So you don't have x number of years like in some languages. You are that age so we use the verb to be.

How do you find the verb?

1. Turn it into a question. The verb will be the first word.

2. Put it into past tense. The word that changes is the verb. 

How to find the subject

Ask: who or what +the verb=subject
