Correct word order:
Billy / a bird / five minutes ago / next door / saw
A
Billy saw a bird five minutes ago next door.

What you need to know
For normal simple sentences, you use mostly the same word order: 
Who - does - what - where - when

For example:
Kevin - plays - basketball - outside - every Monday

Word order
Bijwoorden van tijd -> je geeft aan wanneer iets gebeurt (of niet)
Examples: often, always, never, sometimes, usually

Waar?-> VOOR HET WERKWOORD
I never wake up before 8 o'clock
She often visits her grandmother on Sunday.

Uitzondering werkwoord 'be' (am/is/are) -> NA HET WERKWOORD
I am always late on Monday

Closing:

Informal
Greeting:
Hi Ben, Dear Ben,

Body:
How are you?
Many thanks for your (recent/last) letter
I was wondering if you’d like to go to the theatre with me?

Closing:
Anyway, I must go and get on with my work! 
Look forward to seeing you again.
Lots of love,
