A few tips...

Before listening: 

- Look at the title. What do you think it will be about? What do you know already of the subject? What words come to mind you already know?

- Look at the questions you have to answer so you know what to look for (focused listening). 

While listening

- Focus on key words and key facts. 

- Take notes. 

- Remember it is not necessary to understand every word. 

- If there are words you need to know to understand the audio recording, use your general knowledge or the context to find out the meaning.
