Behavior & Discipline Assembly

Objective:

• To reinforce school expectations regarding behavior, language, digital etiquette, uniform, and overall conduct to maintain a respectful and disciplined environment.

Leadership Team

Appropriate Use of Microsoft Teams 

• Teams is a platform designed for academic purposes—sharing resources, clarifying doubts, and communicating about schoolwork. However, it should only be used during school hours. Once school is over, please refrain from sending messages.

Language & Respect 

• At Springdale, we hold ourselves to high standards in both behavior and communication.

• The words you use matter—whether you’re speaking to a teacher, a classmate, or anyone else in or outside the school.

• Always choose polite and respectful language. There is no place for informal or inappropriate words here.

• Your tone and approach should always be friendly and considerate. Remember, how you speak reflects who you are as a Springdalian.

Uniform and ID Card

• Your uniform and ID card are the first things that identify you as a student of Springdale. It is mandatory to wear the correct uniform neatly—shirts tucked in, proper shoes, and your ID card visible at all times.

• This is not just about appearance; it’s about discipline and pride in our school. If you fail to follow this, consequences will apply as outlined in the Parent Handbook, ranging from detention to being denied entry to class.

Visit to Clinic

• If in any case you visit the clinic you need to get the Slip from the doctor which states that you were in clinic which also shows log in and log out time of yours in clinic.

Expected Behavior in School

• Respect is at the core of everything we do at Springdale. Whether you’re in the classroom, hallway, or playground, always greet teachers and staff politely.

• As mentioned in the video on expected behavior—let’s make sure we follow those guidelines every day. A simple “Good Morning” or “Hello” shows maturity and respect.

Discipline in the Corridor

• The corridors are shared spaces, and we must maintain order.

• Always walk on the right side, hands behind your back, walk in a single line.

• Running, jumping, peeking into classrooms, or standing in groups to chat is not allowed.

Handling Conflicts and Issues

• If someone says or does something that upsets you, do not respond in the same manner. Instead, report it immediately to your class teacher or me.

• Taking matters into your own hands will result in consequences for both parties, regardless of who started it.

• We are here to help resolve issues fairly and according to school policy.

Usage of Device:

• Device is only for academic purpose. If we find any child chatting during school hours with the classmates/Family member/anyone the device will be confiscated and handover to parents and you will not be allowed to bring your device in future.

Responsible Use of Social Media

• As per school policy, students should not have social media accounts on their devices.

• If you use it after school time, use them wisely—only interact with people you know personally, avoid random group chats, and never engage in online conflicts.

• Remember, Dubai has strict cyber laws, and misuse can lead to serious legal consequences.

• If any social media issue arises outside school, do not bring it here and discuss with friends—instead, inform us so we can guide you appropriately.

No Photos or Videos on School Premises

• Taking pictures of teachers, classmates and of friends or recording videos in school is strictly not allowed.

• Your parents have consented only to the school taking photos for official purposes.

• If you are found violating this rule, necessary action will be taken, including confiscation of devices and will not be allowed to bring for the entire academic year.

Online Class Etiquette

• • Join classes on time with your real name

• • Keep camera on (if instructed)

• • Mute microphone when not speaking

• • Use chat only for academic purposes

• • Raise hand before speaking

Digital Discipline

• • No gaming, browsing, or chatting during lessons

• • Stay focused and attentive

• • Follow teacher instructions promptly

• • Respect digital classroom rules

• • Avoid distractions

Respect in Online Environment

• • Use polite and formal language

• • Do not interrupt others

• • No inappropriate comments or emojis

• • Respect classmates' opinions

• • Be responsible and kind

Attendance & Participation

• • Be present for the entire class duration

• • Actively participate in discussions

• • Complete and submit work on time

• • Inform teacher in case of genuine issues

• • Stay engaged throughout the lesson
