What is an Ocean?

The Five Oceans

There are five oceans on Earth. They are the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Southern Ocean, and the Arctic Ocean.

What Does Marine Mean?

Marine means 'to do with the ocean'. If something is marine, it lives or happens in the sea.
