What is thanksgiving? 
Thanksgiving is a holiday in the United States and Canada where people give thanks for the good things in their lives. Families and friends come together to share a big meal, usually with turkey, potatoes, vegetables, and pumpkin pie. In the U.S., it is on the fourth Thursday of November, and in Canada, it is on the second Monday of October.
