MY IDENTITY/Mohammed Bin Rashid Library

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the conception of the library in February 2016, the "Year of Reading" in Dubai. Designed in the shape of an open book on a lectern, the seven-story library will cover 650,000 square feet of property and is expected to facilitate 9 million visitors annually. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will house over 4.5 million printed, digital, and audiobooks.

Class Discussion:
Can you mention some of the traits Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed has?

Given that there are more than 10 million people with 200 different nationalities, more than 5 religions and tens of languages spoken ( the case in United Arab Emirates). Why and how do you think these people are bright together in an environment that is safe, developing, and still one of the most innovative, and futuristic country?

● Your brother steals money from your mother’s purse.

● You know your best friend has studied well, so you sit next to her to copy answers for the exam. 

● The school launches a program after school concerned with exchanging knowledge of school topics (students teach students). 

● Your younger cousin falls a lot while roller skating, she is asking you to support her, and you tell her she’s young and will not be able to learn. 

● Salma stood up and greeted her grandparents when they visited.

● Amnah had lots of homework, but her friend Teeba was not feeling well, she postponed her homework for 2 hours to check on her and stand by her. 

● Sheikha got low grades in Biology, she kept complaining and blaming her teacher for not getting better grades. 

● Roa’s room is almost always tidy and clean. 

What helped you distinguish the “right” from the “wrong”??

Try to give solutions for each statement that they determined is “wrong”.

Let’s relate this quote by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed and to the idea that a good citizen comes from good individuals that have ethics.
