Force: A push or pull on an object that makes it move. 

Push: A force that moves an object                 away from you. 

Pull: A force that moves an object toward you. 

Balanced Force:  When the forces that act on an object are equal. This will cause the object to stay in its place.

Unbalanced Force:  When the forces that act on an object are not equal. 

This will cause the object to move.

Friction:  A force that occurs when two objects touch. Friction slows down things that are moving.

Gravity:  A force that pulls things toward Earth.
